Product Information
Assembly

All of our products ship as fully assembled models unless stated otherwise. If the model is in kit form, instructions are provided when it is a more complex kit, and we are more than happy to help if you're stuck. Simply contact us on the form below. The colours of the models you receive may vary from the images shown, however they will usually be dark grey, and this makes no difference to the quality or finish of the product. Superglue is recommended if your product requires assembly, as our prints are resin poly cement does not work.

Post Processing

Although effort has been taken to remove all support material, some stubs may remain. These can easily be eradicated with light sanding or filing. Please ALWAYS use a respirator when sanding resin. Take care around delicate areas however, as resin is very brittle, especially around parts such as window frames/thin parts.

Finishing

It is advised to prime your model before painting, however models will accept paint without priming first. Tamiya Fine Surface Primer is recommended. After priming, the models work well with any types of paint usually used for modelling, alongside washes, weathering powders etc. Models do NOT need washing prior to being painted. Both heat and water damage 3D printed resin. Any damage caused by this is non-refundable. Models are NOT suitable for garden railways/outdoor use. It's best to seal your model with matte varnish after painting, to protect against water absorption from high humidity environments.

Excellent model

Being a newbie to modelling I'm still learning the good, the bad, and the indifferent when it comes to kit and model manufacturers for N gauge. I'd already built one footbridge and needed a second one of a different design. Having tried unsuccessfully to complete a particular badly designed kit footbridge (manufacturer shall remain nameless), a friend suggested the Quainton.
I was a little hesitant but decided to take the plunge and order one, and I must say I'm delighted that I did! The footbridge comes complete but very well packaged; there are no rough edges or 'flash' to remove and the detail is great. I wasn't sure about painting a completed item, I'd usually paint some parts before assembly, but this footbridge was easy with a little care.
The picture shows the footbridge painted, although I've yet to weather it.

Quainton footbridge

An excellent model of the Quainton footbridge. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star review is because the two windows were omitted from the brickworks.

Bought this after getting the MS Models footbridges and am equally impressed with the fine detail and overall quality of this great little model. 😁
Detail in the tank, on the brickwork and external steel tank really pops out with some careful painting. Tried my first bash at rust which seemed to work out fine. Still got to do a little more weathering, but very pleased so far. Used some clear acetate cut to size for the windows and water surface and happy with the results.
Highly recommended little model.
